APOSTOLIC Team
Joshua and Ed are accountable for every area of their lives and will speak to each other about all the significant decisions they make. The central idea here is to put in place a healthy relational accountability that is in no way designed to control their activities. There is no bondage in this kind of accountability, and it demonstrates to all a willingness to live blameless lives. This is a relationship of transparency where right is done and right is seen to be done. While there may be times when they do not follow the counsel of this team to the letter, these will be the exception and not the norm. Also Gap travels and minsters with Bernard Sanders and we regular attend the Apostolic leadership Summit lead by Emanuel Cannistraci. (Apostle C)
It is very important, however, to understand that there is no intention to create any hierarchy with these teams. The structuring that we have chosen is purely functional and is simply intended to assist us in getting the work done more efficiently.
They will travel nationally and internationally to develop the network. They would thus be available to ordain elders in any relating church in the world. Those who will help in the process of identifying and ordaining elders, as with the international team, but who will operate primarily in a specific geographical area.
Function of the Apostolic Team (A.T.)
Team Functions
- Fellowship and accountability within the Apostolic Team.
- Overseeing Doctrine and upholding of GAP values in the Network.
- Initiating international events. Conferences Evangelize Cities and help. Plant Churches
- Establish Businesses
- Provide servant leadership to the Apostolic Council.
- Build Apostolic Teams and develop leaders
- Seek Oneness with the wider Body of Christ.
Trans-local teams generally have the following areas of activity with regard to the churches that relate to GAP:
- They counsel and work through problems related to doctrine, discipline and direction.
- They help the relating churches with financial matters. For example, the setting of Pastor’s salaries. We advise all the relating churches to ask a team member to come in and look at the church income and expenditure and then advise on salaries.
- They co-ordinate the training that GAP does in the different geographical regions.
- They develop a relationship of accountability with the Pastors and Elders of the Churches.
- They initiating international events.
- They provide servant leadership to the Apostolic Council.
- They build unity with the wider Body of Christ
Some of our Goals are:
- To plant Apostolic Teams in each of Africa, Canada, America, Australia and Asia, Europe and Israel by 2050
- To establish 15 self sustaining Kingdom businesses by 2040
- To plant 500 independent relationally accountable churches by 2050
Apostolic council (A.C)
These team members work closely with Apostolic Team to help give perspective to the broader ministry. The council is made up of the apostolic team and the Gap apostolic leaders over certain areas or nations.
The Apostolic Council is made up of the Apostolic Steering Team plus clan leadership recognized by the G.A.P. Added to these are recognized equipping ministries, invited by the G.A.P that serve clan leaders and carry a gift anointing that qualifies them to function in an international forum. This Council will continue to grow but one is added to it by the acceptance of the G.A.P Apostolic Team after the recommendation of Council members. This is seen as a Council of peers for the following:
Function of Apostolic Council (A.C.)
- Fellowship and accountability within the Apostolic Council.
- Casting corporate vision.
- Shepherding and Discipling each other.
- Maintaining and executing the vision for G.A.P.
- Receiving input from the G.A.P, A.T
- Nurturing Oneness and relationships within G.A.P
- Building Oneness with the wider Body of Christ.
Financial Team
Those who oversee the finances of GAP internationally. The intent is that they would receive financial statements on all GAP related finances from around the world every month and administer the correct handling of these finances. Each local church should ensure that the DNA of the local church entails tithes into Gap as well as facilitating Apostolic offerings for the advancement and establishment of the Kingdom of God throughout the earth.
Kingdom Business
Kingdom Businesses are businesses led and controlled by a person or persons who are committed to making their business a part of the end-time purpose of God, such businesses will manifest some of the following characteristics:
a. Interfaces between Heaven and Earth:
Kingdom Businesses must see themselves as significant interfaces for the conversion of prophetic promises for apostolic times. They are extensions of the activities of the church (not separate entities) Eccl. 2:26
b. Positive Relationship with the Local Church:
Kingdom Businesses must build excellent relationships within the local churches and must operate in submission and covenant with the leadership. Not manipulation or control. Avoid the Jezebel spirit. This places a requirement for mature understanding upon the leaders of the church. Acts 4:34-35
c. Mentality of the Kingdom:
Kingdom Businesses must be linked to a larger apostolic paradigm and apostolic purpose and apostolic mentality. The ethos and culture of these businesses must reflect the apostolic technology of creativity, discipline, faith, breakthrough, prosperity, success, global mentality, and networking. E.g. The world says, “If I give from what I have, I will have less”; the Word says, “If we give, more shall be given to us.”
Prov. 11:24-26
d. Access to the Gifts of the Spirit:
Kingdom Businesses must be activated in prophetic to be used as tools of the Lord in the conducting of business e.g. words of wisdom, knowledge, discerning, prophecy etc. These can give us the edge and the advantage in deals, contracts, people-interaction, difficult decisions, foresight of trends, new developments etc.
This is not primarily a business issue this is a Kingdom issue. Those who are righteous are given power, not those in the church. The power that is available to believers through the gifts of the holy spirit, these are not church gifts, or are gifts only available inside of a church building, we are expected to have a lifestyle of faith, like Abraham, Moses, Joseph and Daniel. These men operated in faith where they were placed. We are the church.
e. Principles of Biblical Character:
The totality of the operation of the business must be regulated along the principles of biblical character and doctrine (Prov. 11:1; Prov. 11:4; Lev. 20:23; Lev. 19:13; Jer. 22 11 – 19 / Micah 6: 10 – 16 / Ezek. 22: 12 – 13 / Mal. 3:5)
f. Access to an Apostolic Source:
Each Kingdom Business should be linked to an apostolic source, for impartation of apostolic grace, favour, and energy. This is as key a component as your balance sheet. Rom. 1:11-13
g. Contact Point to the World System
Kingdom Businesses must develop a vision of themselves as contact points for spiritual ministries to the world’s centers of influence in economy, society, politics, finance, and commerce. They design new entrance points for spiritual invasion into Babylon.
Kingdom Businesses must network within the Babylonian system to build a global Kingdom net of Kingdom influence (Jer. 51:31). They must not be of Babylon so that when Babylon falls they will not be broken. In Rev 18 it is the apostles and prophets who rejoice when Babylon is shattered. The apostles and prophets are a generic name for the apostolic system of the Kingdom in the earth.
h. Fathering and Reproduction:
Kingdom Businesses must activate Kingdom principles of birthing and fathering. They help to birth businesses and they father new and emerging businesses. They must have the mentality of reproducers. Exodus. 1:15-22
i. Resource Distribution:
Kingdom Businesses must give of their resources to finance the Kingdom advance of the apostolic in the earth. This is the entire motive and priority of their existence. John 4:34
